Digitimes is citing those mysterious "industry sources" as indicating OS X won’t be out until October because of integration issues with Vista and Boot Camp.
Not too unreasonable a thought when you consider Apple had trouble getting existing Apple software, strike that, getting ALL existing Apple software working on Vista when Vista was originally released.
Isn’t this really the big corporate rat screw Redmond has been looking for? Boot Camp is a great idea but at some point, users will just have to switch everything over. Part of the Apple mystique has been their independence. Stuff just works because it’s all their stuff. By putting so many eggs in one basket like Boot Camp, Microsoft seems to have set Apple up perfectly for this.
In any event, October is a long, long way away and this can’t last forever. Can it?
