POLL CLOSED: DEBIAN DECLARED WORST ICON WITH 55% OF VOTES. Current Icon Battle

Which icon is worse?
|
We are branching Icon Battle out from our Mac OS X icons for this week. It’s been suggested we have a little “brotherly love” action in the ring for Icon Battle and pit Ubuntu vs. Debian.
I was a little hesitant to pit the icons against each other because Icon Battle is not about the software that is represented. If you check the previous battles you’ll find we regularly use the software at BuzzDroid.com and haven’t had a complaint yet about the programs the icons represent.
Ubuntu has clashed against big brother Debian before in other arenas. Maybe it’s because Ubuntu has alternate logos like this, this, this and this. The topic is great for some really exciting cocktail conversation, but remember, this is only about the icons. Vote for the worst icon, not the worst platform.
Textwrangler soundly defeated Cyberduck in last week’s Icon Battle with 69% of the total votes for worst icon. We may have finally found a challenger for Handbrake.

This poll is rigged. I checked this site from digg about an hour ago and ubuntu had many many more votes than it does now. I call shenanigans.

Thanks for noticing, anonymous. It’s not rigged but has been corrected.
Debian has a bunch of militant extremists who stuffed the ballot box from a single IP in the span of about 5 minutes. They inflated Ubuntu’s ugliness by about 1,000 votes.
We’ve taken corrective measures to assure the validity of the proceedings. The figures are now accurate and we await the next attack from the Debian extremists loyalists.
You Tuxers really should play together better than this.

I like the Debian logo best in form, but why use pink?
When it comes to the actual desktop i like Debian best. Ubuntu colors sucks, orange-brown and grey panel, and the icons suck too - very retro.
I wonder why the respective distros, Ubuntu and Debian, doesn’t make more effort to differ themselves to each other.
