@techietim, we call it like we see it, and we didn’t find any colored icons or logos for OS X Leopard.

Like Chet, said, OS X has been pretty much greyscale, although I did once see an OS X logo with a light blue “X” against a white background. That was way uglier than the caveman print Apple is using now.

I can’t remember a colored icon, it seems like the basic “X” icon has always been black (and white). I think I remember Panther, or Jaguar, or Tiger having a colored skin-print background (although I’m not 100% sure) behind the black X, but I think the Leopard icon has only been in greyscale.

I might be hazy on this, though.

@dnm, thanks for pointing that out. Icon Battle started with just plain “Icons” but many people asked to start branching out to bigger and better things, Debian vs. Ubuntu, Windows vs. OS X.

At BuzzDroid, we try to be accomodating imbeciles.

It didn’t sound right to switch the name to “Logo Battle”, so we kept the name and are using our artistic license to stretch the definition of an icon, which, being an imbecile, I consider to be the more common meaning of “symbol“.

It’s a bit unfair compairing a monochrome icon with a colourful one. Needless to say that Apple made sexy the glassy look that Microsoft are now taking on-board. Apple are now moving on to better things.

Can someone please post a colour osx icon?

It’s the battle between the four color, wavy flag icon from the days of flying toaster yore AND the sleek and sexy, mysterious, straight from the pages of a Victoria’s Secret catalog Mac icon. I wonder which one will win.
