If you’ve been a regular buzzdroid reader, you know several of us are alumni and/or employees of Virginia Tech. There were many heroes on 4/16/07, some who’s acts will never be known and some who lost their lives that day. All of them deserve to be recognized. Although it would be difficult to pick out one act of heroism that encompasses all the spirit of heroism of that day, my personal opinion is that this one, arguably, is as close as we might get.
You probably heard about Liviu Librescu, the 76 year old holocaust survivor and Virginia Tech professor, who was murdered trying to hold the door so that his students could jump out of the windows of Norris Hall.
Buzzdroid would like you to know about the petition to ask George Bush to grant Liviu Librescu the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Please consider signing it, and tell others about it.
