Dell is removing posts from the Dell Idea Storm website according to Triston McIntyre.
Dell seems to be balking at the prospect of offering linux after baiting linux lovers to offer solutions as to how Michael Dell should save his sinking ship. Not only is Dell pulling back from the original idea, McIntyre says Dell is actually pulling pro-linux comments from their website.
The censored comment said
Dell needs a crash course in economics, supply does not push demand, it’s the other way around. No matter what Steve Ballmer says or not matter how good a deal you will get on OEM licenses if you comply with the company’s wishes. Comply with DOJ and give everybody a fair shake Dell. Otherwise you close the factories now and go home. This isn’t 1995 anymore.
“Dell may have truly done themselves more harm than good by promising Linux and then with-holding it; it will be interesting to see how they proceed with this delicate situation. (beer28)
