Last week a buzzdroid.com post argued that Lost is Becoming More Like Star Wars with every episode. Some people on the Lost Junkie Forums thought this was absurd.
I will point out that this week’s episode, Expose, OPENED with Mr. Star Wars himself, Billy Dee Williams, playing a bit in a soap opera. If you read my post you will also note that I put forth that Lost writers have started writing soap-opera-like story lines.
Lastly how about a story line where a soap opera star kills a rich old (tv director) guy (that she’s sleeping with) so she can steal his diamonds. She gets in a predicament, gets bitten by a spider that makes her temporarily paralyzed- but not dead, and then gets buried alive by somebody. Her accomplice boyfriend, who was trying to doublecross her, right along side her. Real original. For how many centuries has that story been told?
I’m sure the Lost Junkies will be commenting on how this is somehow part of their “Long Con” hypothesis, but the real con is that the writers of Lost are trying to pass this crap off as original and interesting.
