Apple confirms that none of Apple’s Windows applcations will work with Vista. Its hard to believe until you look at the list for yourself.
Considering Vista has been in production for years and Apple often brags about their ability to develop and upgrade software faster than Microsoft, there is no excuse for any Apple application not running on Vista. The fact that all Apple Windows applications are not compatible and not just one or two of them seems to imply a certain degree of incompetence or corporate ball busting. Trust me, Apple ain’t incompetent.
What better way to jam up Windows customers who depend on some Apple application running on their Windows box than to just have the damn thing crap out when the Windows customer upgrades. Or better yet, drag your feet on making the app compatible and publicize the fact so that Windows customers will be frightened at the thought of buying Vista. Apple has already told iTunes customers to hold off on purchasing Vista for the sole fact that the current version of iTunes won’t work on Vista.
I don’t care about the corporate ball busting. I have Apple stock, not Microsoft. I’m pissed off that customers who bought Apple software are now casualties of the “I’m a Mac. And I’m a PC.” battle because Apple couldn’t figure out how to get the software to run in time.
Please Steve, don’t insult my intelligence. You have the best engineers in the world and the best operating system in the world (and you certainly don’t hesitate to brag about either of those points) but you can’t get an app to run on Vista?
You don’t want those apps running on Vista.
