- “www” is redundant.
- “www” is hard to say.
- “www” is a waste of time to type or write.
- Think about it. Did you read something cool at “www.buzzdroid.com”, or did you read it at “buzzdroid.com”
- “www” is old school and just no longer needed.
If you want to silently change your site from “www.domain.com” to “domain.com” you can do it with 3 lines of code. Place this code in your .htaccess file to redirect your “www.domain.com” to “domain.com” without disturbing visitors or your current search engine rankings:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.domain\.com$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://domain.com/$1 [R=301,L]
Check out no-www.org for more on switching your website from “www.domain.com” to “domain.com”.

Very good web page! However, you forgot the most obvious and the most urgent reason for dropping www:
Some people will type the URL without www and will get an error message. Some of these will be annoyed, and some of them won’t even bother to add the www and instead go somewhere else. You’re losing some web visitors.

This is true, but since Google can handle both versions of the site just fine there is no reason to redirect in my opinion.
