We didn’t make much progress over the last two weeks with the last hand signal for couples. It looked like it migh be trouble from the start and I never really had much confidence in it. Couple that with the fact that I suffered through a major illness last week where verbal commands like “icy pop”, “cold cloth” and “covers” were in play much more than hand signals and you can see why we didn’t get much practice.
I feel good about this week’s hand signal - “Mount”. This is a great signal for couples that needs little commentary. This is going to be perfect for getting everybody in the car or riding bikes at the beach. The kids will have to learn this one too. No more standing around looking at each other, we just do this hand signal and we’re outta there.
Week 3 of our new standardized hand signals for couples: “Mount”

I feel like Auntie could even get this one. I can’t wait to see the whole family standing around the Mini-Van, flapping their lone arms up and down, just waiting for somebody to call shotgun.

I don’t know… this keeps getting worse. This is totally confusing. “Mount” and “Attention” are identical… or is it the way the hand is facing? I need to go review. Good luck.

Read carefully, “Mount” and “Attention” are very different. “Mount” has a straight armed motion with the palm facing outward. “Attention” is a bent arm waving motion that ends above the head.
We may have to implement video versions to improve our course materials. Plus we’re running out of cool pictures.

Tommy is right. We need to make some videos of him and his wife doing these hand signals in Chuck E. Cheese’s. That would be fun.
