To show support for the tragic victims of the Virginia Tech Massacre, we are releasing “Orange And Maroon Web Effect”, a Wordpress template using the official colors of Virginia Tech and proudly displaying one of our 04/16/2007 memorial banners.
It is our sincere hope that you consider using the template on Friday 04/20/2007, a day that we are calling “Orange And Maroon Web Effect Day“.
A few notes about the theme:
- Based on the Yahoo! UI for cross browser stability and functionality
- 950px wide
- Two columns
- Widgetized sidebar
- Tested in Safari, Firefox and IE6
- Uses official Virginia Tech colors
This theme is released under the GPL, which requires no link back. However, it is our sincere hope that the link in the footer be left in place to help people learn more about “Orange And Maroon Effect Day”. If you want, add a “nofollow” tag to the link.
The idea is that the theme will be used on Friday 04/20/2007, but of course, feel free to use the theme as long as you like.
Please tell us if you use the theme. We want to catalog the “Orange And Maroon Web Effect” as best as possible including later posts of screenshots during the tribute.
