We are releasing "YUI-Mainstream", the current BuzzDroid.com theme, for download. The theme is built upon the fantastic framework of the SEO Sandbox Theme by Ian Purton which incoporates the "YUI" Yahoo! User Interface. The Yahoo! User Interface is a library of resources created for developers to assist in web development.
YUI-Mainstream is a clean, two column, Wordpress template with colors inspired by Yahoo! Tech.
Because YUI-Mainstream is a YUI based theme, you can easily manipulate basic template structure elements like
- Page Size: The theme defaults to 950px width; however, the width can be easily adjusted to 750px, full width or a custom width using the functions.php file provide by the original SEO Sandbox Theme.
- Sidebar Location: YUI-Mainstream defaults to a 300px sidebar on the right that handles standard block ad formats like Google’s 300 x 250 Medium Rectangle. Because the theme is YUI based, the sidebar can be on the left or right and can be of varying widths of 160px, 180px, 240px or 300px.
- Column Structure: YUI-Mainstream defaults to a friendly two column setup but can be customized to accomodate virtually any column structure using the YUI.
The theme is widget ready, just drop your Adsense, Yahoo or Amazon code into a text widget and you’re on your way.
