To coincide with the release of Shifter v1.5 v1.6, we will begin running a series of post called “What’s That Layout” where will show how easy it is to get virtually any mainstream, functional layout for your Wordpress blog using the Shifter Theme.
We will profile several major blog sites and tell you how to achieve the layout with Shifter in a few clicks or less. We have several sites lined up to analyze and we will also take suggestions and requests from you.
We hope the series will demonstrate how easy it is for you to get the look and feel for your blog with only a few clicks using Shifter.
Stay tuned for the series and if you don’t already have Shifter installed, download it now.

Just bought/installed Shifter- in a word, awesome. I was running the Tiga theme on my blog, took 5 mins to emulate the layout perfectly (www.twitfall.com). Couple of questions:
1. I want to upgrade to the multiple site license- do you have a link to purchase it?
2. Is there a support forum?
3. Do you have any tips on tuning it for speed?
Thanks for an excellent theme!
Will

Thanks, Will. 5 minutes is about right.
1. Regarding the licenses - you can use Shifter on as many sites as you own personally. You do not need to upgrade for multiple sites.
2. Support forums - we’ve been holding off on forums but so many people are asking for them, we give up! Shifter now has it’s own forum at http://forums.shiftertheme.com. We invite everyone using Shifter to drop some links over there and showcase your sites.
3. On speed - Shifter is fast out of the box. Most speed improvements are made by tweaking plugins and your wordpress/setup. Plugins can kill the speed of your blog way faster than a theme can bog you down. I took a look at your site and it’s loading pretty fast. But I did notice you don’t have a far future expires date for some of your elements, particularly your images. Stocking stuff away in a visitors cache save lots of load time and is a great place to start when you’re trying to speed up your site.
